OpenAI has set the opening date for the GPT Store, which will enable ChatGPT Plus members to create personal ChatGPTs. Announced at last year’s DevDay conference but postponed after Sam Altman’s dismissal, the company will complete preparations and launch the store shortly.
The GPT Store will offer a special privilege to ChatGPT Plus members, who will be able to create their own ChatGPT message bots. In the past, developers have built thousands of custom chatbots in various fields such as website building and tax consulting. However, these bots are currently only shared between developers. With the launch of the GPT Store, OpenAI will open these bots to Enterprise members, available exclusively to all Plus businesses.

The fact that GPTs do not require coding knowledge to use and can be as simple or complex as desired makes it possible for them to have a variety of capabilities in many different domains. For example, a GPT could be trained on a collection of cookbooks to answer questions about the ingredients of a particular recipe. Developers will articulate their GPT’s capabilities in plain language and create an AI-powered chatbot using OpenAI’s GPT creation tool, GPT Builder. Developers will be able to share these bots on the GPT store. However, the revenue sharing plan of the store is not yet clear.
OpenAI notified the developers about the opening date of the GPT Store, pointing to next week. Although the revenue models are not clear at the moment, it is estimated that users and developers will be able to offer bots for sale. Users will have the opportunity to showcase their own chat bots on the GPT Store. However, it is unclear how much control these bots will have.

It is thought that users without code knowledge may have the opportunity to create personal ChatGPT in the future. Especially if the GPT Store becomes available outside of ChatGPT Plus members, it may open the door to new opportunities in the field of artificial intelligence.
