A first that pushes the limits of technology has been achieved: The world’s first artificial intelligence beauty pageant. The winner of the contest was Moroccan virtual influencer Kenza Layli. She beat out more than 1,500 competitors to win the $20,000 prize. Layli, a model wearing hijab, aims to empower women in Morocco and the Middle East. Layli, who has 194 thousand followers on Instagram, emphasizes that artificial intelligence can play a positive role in society. French Lalina and Portuguese Olivia C. won the second and third places respectively. Turkish candidates Seren Ay and Asena İlik were also among the finalists.

Unlike traditional beauty pageants, Miss AI had a multi-faceted evaluation process. The judges evaluated the candidates not only on their visual appeal, but also on criteria such as the details of their digital design, the technological innovations used and their social media presence. While this innovative contest reshaped the perception of beauty in the digital age, it also raised a number of ethical questions. Issues such as the commercialization of artificial intelligence assets, transparency and bias in algorithmic evaluations began to be discussed.
World’s First AI Beauty Contest Concluded
The competition is important as it demonstrates the state of the art in artificial intelligence technology. However, concerns around issues such as data privacy and algorithmic fairness highlight the need for robust regulations and ethical frameworks in this area. Will Monange, co-founder of Fanvue, said that the interest in the pageant has been incredible and emphasized that such events play an important role in shaping the future of the AI creator economy.
The Miss AI pageant has opened a new space where beauty, technology and innovation intersect. It demonstrated the potential of AI in the creative industries, while also highlighting the importance of digital ethics. While such events are expected to increase in the future, the debate on the ethical and responsible use of AI technology is expected to deepen.
