Located at the eastern end of Singapore, Changi Airport was officially opened on December 29, 1981. It was built on the site of the Changi airbase during the Second World War, mostly on landfill. When it opened, the airport set a number of record achievements, including being completed in six years, ranking the same as Narita Airport in Tokyo, and having the world’s largest column-free hangar with an area of 20,000 square meters. Since its inauguration, the airport has been recognized with various awards and accolades, winning many awards, including the “Best Airport in the World” award.

There are many activities to make every moment at Changi Airport enjoyable. With indoor playgrounds in Terminals 1 and 3, the adrenaline-filled slide in the public area of Terminal 3 and the Family Zone in Terminal 2, family-friendly activities await you in every terminal.

Singapore Changi Airport

More than just an air traffic hub, Changi Airport stands out with its aesthetically striking control tower, smart landscaping and a range of award-winning services. Voted “World’s Best Airport” for the fourth time in 2016, Changi is home to more than 100 international airlines serving 80 countries and 330 cities worldwide.

If you are traveling with youngsters, you can have fun with Xbox Kinect games and nostalgic arcade machines at the Entertainment Corner in Terminal 4 or enjoy a movie at Changi’s cinemas in Terminals 2 and 3.

If you’re looking for a different experience, head to the top floor of Jewel to enjoy family fun at Canopy Park. This 14,000-square-meter space features a variety of enticing attractions, from garden mazes to fog-filled playgrounds.

Changi Airport is also a haven for shopping and dining. Jewel Changi has more than 30 restaurants and more than 100 shops operating around the clock. In addition, restaurants, food halls and café areas in all four terminals are ideal for a tasty break.
