A Talent Rising from the Streets
Born in Damaia in 1976, Sérgio was introduced to spray paint as a child in the mid-1980s. His artistic journey began with signatures and scribbles on the walls of his neighborhood and took on a new dimension in the 1990s with the graffiti movement in Carcavelos. Although he dropped out of school at 15, his artistic passion led him to create large-scale works along the Sintra railroad line. Completely self-taught, Sérgio developed his own unique style of street art, starting in poor neighborhoods.
Somber 3D The Birth of an Original Art Style
In 2003, the artist, who took the pseudonym “Odeith”, started to use the anamorphosis technique with an innovative approach. His distinctive style, which he calls “Somber 3D”, has become known for the impressive illusions he creates, especially in 90-degree corners. After his London adventure in 2008, Odeith settled in Lisbon and nowadays devotes all his time to studio work and murals. His journey from tattoo artist to street artist is seen as a striking example of how obstacles can be overcome on a passionate path. Here are different designs by Odeith.
