US-based startup Rabbit introduced a small artificial intelligence device called Rabbit R1 at CES 2024. This portable device can learn and mimic the user’s app usage and perform tasks on their behalf. CES 2024 stands out as an event full of innovations in the field of artificial intelligence.
Rabbit R1 stands out as an artificial intelligence device small enough to fit in a pocket. This device can act as the user’s personal assistant and can be carried anywhere with it. However, Rabbit emphasizes that its device is different from other phone assistants.
Rabbit R1, a Learning Artificial Intelligence Device
The Rabbit R1 has a 2.88-inch touchscreen, a wheel for scrolling, two microphones for voice commands, a speaker for speakerphone response, and a 360-degree camera they call “Rabbit Eye”. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 processor and other features include 128 GB of storage, 4 GB of RAM, USB-C port, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and a 4G-capable SIM slot.
The Rabbit R1 uses an operating system called Rabbit OS, which learns and mimics the user’s app usage habits to perform tasks quickly. The company claims that the R1 is faster than standard phones.

The device can learn and mimic the user’s intentions and behaviors. For example, when you connect a music app, it will not only play music, but also perform tasks such as playing other songs from the album. Rabbit R1 can also make hotel reservations using apps and hail rides using services like Uber.
The Rabbit R1 is priced at $199 and is expected to be available in the US in March or April. However, it remains unclear how easily the device can be trained by the average user. Details on battery life are also not clearly shared.
