China-based technology giant Xiaomi has officially entered the electric car market. The company officially unveiled its long-awaited and much-anticipated electric sedan model SU7 (Speed Ultra). According to the statements of the company’s CEO Lei Jun, Xiaomi SU7 was launched with the goal of becoming one of the world’s top 5 automakers in 15 to 20 years. The V6 model will produce 400 Nm of torque, while the V6S model will deliver 500 Nm of torque. Xiaomi is collaborating with CATL on this model, using an 800V high-voltage integrated battery with 77.8 percent volume efficiency. The vehicle promises a range of 1200 kilometers with a 150 kWh battery pack, while the version equipped with a 132 kWh pack will have a range of 1000 kilometers.
