In recent years, drone technology has revolutionized not only logistics and defense, but also art and architecture. These small devices float freely in the air and, when combined with advanced software and lighting systems, create mesmerizing visuals and sculptures in the sky. Breathing new life into architectural structures, this technology is being used both to recreate monumental works of the past and to visualize the projects of the future. Pioneering artists such as Studio Drift push the boundaries of architecture with drone technology and offer unforgettable experiences to the audience.

Studio Drift and Drone
The Sagrada Familia, one of Barcelona’s landmarks, is still unfinished almost a century after its construction began. This turned into an innovative stage for Studio Drift. Founded by Dutch artist duo Ralph Nauta and Lonneke Gordijn, Studio Drift uses drone technology to recreate monuments and unfinished projects. They bring a different perspective to architecture by using software they have developed to create life-size, light-illuminated images of famous architectural monuments.
These projects are not limited to the Sagrada Familia; they range from speculative architecture to ruined buildings such as the Colosseum in Rome. Studio Drift has partnered with Drone Stories and Nova Skystories to help architects bring their projects to life in life-size with sustainable and hypnotic visuals.
