Xiaomi SU7 Ultra’s Wild Entry into the Electric Sports Car World

When Xiaomi unveiled its first electric vehicle, the SU7, in early 2024, it attracted a lot of attention and sold more than 75,000 units in 28 days. The company’s current SU7 models have the following features:

  • Standard SU7: Rear-wheel drive, 74kWh battery, 500 km range, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 5.3 seconds.
  • SU7 Max: Dual-motor, 101kWh battery, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 2.8 seconds.

These moves by Xiaomi reveal the company’s aim to compete with prestigious sports car brands such as Porsche and Ferrari.
As the Chinese tech giant is rapidly rising in the electric car market, it is also taking an ambitious position in terms of performance and technology.

As a result, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype has the potential to break new ground in the electric car world. The company’s developments in this field show that competition in the automotive sector will increase and the performance limits of electric vehicles will be pushed even further.
